Tony Thomas

Tony Thomas is our Senior Minister and he was born and raised in Miami, OK where he grew up attending First Christian Church.  He received his education at the Cincinnati Bible Seminary where he graduated with a BS in English and Bible in 1977. 
 
The Thomases lived in Cincinnati, OH for seventeen years before moving to Indiana.  He was called as pastor of  Woodland Heights Christian Church in 2002.  Woodland Heights is currently in a relocation project, having purchased 49 acres of land on the northeast side of Crawfordsville on State Road 47 North.
 
For seven years he wrote a weekly column for the Logansport Pharos-Tribune, the Paper of Montgomery County in Crawfordsville, and The Paper in Wabash, IN.  He is the author of A Smidgeon of Religion

Tony’s wife is Christie and she works as a Title I Teacher’s Aid at Hoover Elementary in the Crawfordsville School Corporation, overseeing Reading Intervention.  Christie sings in one of the worship teams and and she teaches one of the children’s Sunday School classes.  Tony and Christie are the parents of three grown daughters (Angela, Ashley and Abigail) and they have five grandchildren:  Emma, Marshall, Gabe, Brooklyn, and Corey.
 
In his spare time Tony coaches basketball and golf at Crawfordsville Middle School.
